Public Roadmap
We build in the open. Because Equaleats powers real household budgets, we do not ship half-baked features. Here is what exists today, and what is coming next.
Phase 0: The Prototype
Status: Complete (January 2026)
- Manual spreadsheet ordering for the Bittaford Batch.
- Proved the physical logistics of taking in £1000+ of wholesale boxes in a driveway.
- Proved the appetite for a neighborhood solidarity fund.
Phase 1: The Engine
Status: Launching Now (April 2026)
- Digital App Rollout for Bittaford Batch.
- Secure Passcode Login for households.
- Live interactive cart summing.
- Pack Size Resolve Engine: Live case tracking showing "2 of 6 committed".
- The Ballast Fund: Built-in UI to float slightly-underfilled lines so orders don't get dropped.
Phase 2: Pricing Tiers
Status: Up Next
- Tiered Pricing self-selection: Households can privately select 70%, 100%, or 120% list price at checkout.
- Automated clearing mechanism linking the Solidarity tip jar directly to the backend accounting ledger.
- Stripe integration for automatic direct debit pull at Batch Lock.
Phase 3: Multi-Supplier
Moving beyond Suma. We will introduce routing logic for multiple local suppliers, allowing a hub to source from a local dairy, a veg farm, and a wholesale pantry simultaneously via the same lock sequence.
Phase 4: Multi-Pod Network
Full decentralization. Self-serve onboarding for other UK villages to spin up their own EqualEats instance, manage their own catalogues, and control their own local Ballast ledgers.
